Can anyone else other than myself drive the car? Does it cost?

You may add an additional driver onto your rental agreement; this must be done at the time of the rental. The additional driver must hold a valid driving licence. You can also add the additional driver onto your rental agreement during your rental period. To do this, you must first contact us. The second drive is free of charge in any case.

What happens if I drop the car at a different location other than indicated?

We deliver and collect our vehicles upon request of our costumers.When you change the return location a higher rate may apply.Please contact us for more details.

What is the policy on OFF road driving?

All our vehicles are to be operated only on regularly maintained roads. OFF road use is in violation of the rental agreement and your are not covered by our insurance.

What if I have an accident?

In case of an accident contact the police immediately.After that you should contact us so we can take over all the procedures and replace your vehicle with another one.

May I travel off Crete with my rented vehicle?

No you may not.Transportation outside Crete or between the islands is not allowed.

How do I cancel my booking?

Cancel your booking by sending an email to our company at least 2 days before your booking date or by phone 24 hours before your booking.

What are the minimum age requirements for renting?

To rent a car from us, you must be at least 23 years of age and hold a valid EU/International Driving Licence, issued at least one year prior to the rental.

Are there maximum age requirements for renting?

There are no maximum age restrictions, as long as you have a valid driving licence then you are able to rent a vehicle from us.

What kinds of credentials will I need to present when I pick up my rental?

You are required to present a valid driver’s licence and a passport from your home country. If the information on your driver’s licence is not written in the Latin alphabet, you must also present an International Driving Permit.

Do you require a deposit to rent a vehicle?

A deposit will only be asked if you book several weeks in advance prior to your arrival. It is also dependant on the number of days that you require the vehicle.

Is a credit card needed to hold my reservation?

You don’t need a credit card to book a vehicle from our company.In some cases a deposit may be asked.

How do I change/cancel my existing reservation?

Contact us by email for any change or cancellation of your booking.If it’s a last minute thing,please contact us by phone.

Is there a cancellation fee?

Our company does NOT require a cancellation fee.

Can I reserve a specific model car?

Although our fleet isn’t reservable by specific make and model we’ll do our best to have that exact car waiting for you at the pick-up location.
Nevertheless please keep in mind that our company reserves the right to provide a different car model to that originally reserved of an equivalent or higher model type.

Is smoking permitted in rental cars?

No it’s not.Our company maintains a 100% smoke-free fleet and customers will be assessed an additional charge if the car smells of smoke when it is returned.

Can I change where I return a vehicle after I've picked it up?

Yes you can.Just contact us by email or phone before you drop off the car.

May I extend my rental beyond the original return date?

All rental extensions are accepted 24 hours before your original drop off time and date.After that our company cannot guarantee that you will be able to extend your booking.

Will my own insurance cover the damage to a car of your company?

Regardless of your own personal insurance, ANE car hire offer you fully comprehensive insurance that covers you for any type of damage. Check out our ‘Rental Terms’ option for more details about our insurance policy.

What should I do if I have problems with my car? Do you offer roadside assistance?

All the details of the car will be explained to you by a representative of our company.Before you start driving, take a few moments to familiarise yourself with the vehicle’s equipment and operation, including heat and A/C, radio, lights, windshield wipers, spare tire, seat belts and door locks, and gas tank access.
In case you have a problem with a car ,contact us immediately anytime of the day.

Who is responsible for parking, tolls and moving traffic violations?

You are responsible for payment of any parking, toll and moving traffic violation so please drive safely and observe all ordinances.
Airport parking is free for our costumers.

Do I have to prepay my rental?

No you don’t have to.
The payment takes place when the car is delivered to you by a representative of our company either in cash(euros only) or credit card (Visa,Master).

Do you deliver you vehicles?

The A.N.E Car Hire delivers it’s cars throughout the island (Airport-Port-Hotels) or after discussion in the area of your choice, at no extra charge and always on time.
